JM: What types of facilities were available to help pass the time?
Shawn: There was a day roomed which was shared by all of the inmates on that block; moreover, you could go to the gym several times per week when your block was called. You could also exercise with the equipment located on your block.

JM: Did you have regular access to the entertainment?
Shawn: Only the Television or occasional card games played with other inmates.

JM: Did you have a hard time staying in shape while in jail?
Shawn: No, I managed to exercise or run up and down the stairs for cardio.

JM: What types of exercise were you allowed to do?
Shawn: I exercised by doing pushups, pull-ups, dips and situps.

JM: How often did you get to go outside?
Shawn: We never went outside accept maybe to go to court.

JM: Did the jail offer church services? If so, what were they like and when were they held?
Shawn: Yes, the jail offered church services several times per week; however, I believe the jail discriminated against other religious services.
